Carole first started painting on silk after attending an inspiring weekend workshop run by Gilly Burke.

Initially she painted scarves and wraps, but progressed to creating wall hangings and framed pictures.
She paints with silk dyes using wax resist to contain the colours. Once her work is completed she steams it to fix the colour and remove the wax.

Some of her work has been photographed and is available as limited run prints and cards.
