The Countdown is on!

There are only two weeks left to enter your Art into The 2016 SQUARES Exhibition.

A fantastic Community Art Event, SQUARES is open to all artists  – everyone is welcome!

What can you do on your SQUARE?

This is a wonderful way to enter an Art Show for the first time – newcomers are always welcome!

Your $25 Entry kit includes the 30 x 30cm SQUARE you require to enter, simply pick up your Entry kit from the following venues and create away! You can find the SQUARES entry kits from:

Strathnairn Arts – Holt

Belconnen Arts Centre – Belconnen

Belconnen Community Service – Belconnen

Watson Arts Centre – Watson

Tuggeranong Arts Centre – Tuggeranong

Each year the entries are wide and varied – we look forward to recieving your entry this year!

With some great prizes up for grabs, this is an Art Show well worth entering!

Entry kits are still available at the Strathnairn Arts Gallery, open today from 10am to 4pm!

The Shop at Strathnairn Arts Gallery is open Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm, the Juice Cafe situated within Strathnairn Arts Gallery is open Thurs 10 – 4; Fri 10 – 8; Sat 8.30 – 8; and Sun 8.30 – 4.

It is an exciting time at Strathnairn with two exhibitions opening on Saturday 18th June at 4 pm in the Homestead Galleries.

Nancy Tingey is exhibiting a range of watercolors in Gallery Two, work which spans twenty years.

In Gallery One,  The Gumnut Ladies, who meet every Tuesday in the Village Hall, are exhibiting a range of watercolors & drawings with work from over 20 group members.

Strathnairn Board President, Alaine King will be introducing opener Shane Breynard, Director of ACT Museums & Art Galleries.

A reminder  that tomorrow International Shibori artist Joan James & Hellen O’Sullivan are holding a Shibori and Indigo Dyeing Workshop for Beginners.

This is an introduction workshop to shibori and the wonderful indigo dye.
